How easy it is to forget the commandments of The Lord

The allurements and attraction of sin, the enticements of this world and the pleasure sin brings for the moment can easily chip away at our hearts, leading us away to forget the commandments of the Lord and disobey Him - Jeremiah 2:32

This is why we must be diligent to fight against having an evil heart of unbelief as the enemy will bombard us with many temptations, attempting to destroy us by separating us from God - Hebrews 3:12-14

Sometimes we willfully forget

Oftentimes we forget Godís commandments when we succumb, or yield, to the temptations of Satan - 1 John 1:9. There may also be times when we "willfully forget" the Lordís commandments, when we decide donít want to obey them. This is why it is important to resist and endure the temptations of the devil by calling to remembrance the commandments of God - 2 Peter 3:1-2

We can learn from the past

In Genesis 3:1-6, we find it was easy for Adam and Eve to forget the commandments of the Lord, and disobey Him. Therefore, we must learn from Adam and not be forgetful hearers of the Word of God - James 1:25

Avoid sin, rember God and His commandmentsIn Deuteronomy 8:11-20, God warns Israel about the folly of forgetting the "Lord your God", and how their pride would lead to their destruction. You and I must remember not to be lifted up in our own pride which could lead to our destruction, but instead focus our hearts on humbling ourselves before God - 1 Peter 5:6-7

Remember again and return to God

If you have forgotten the commandments of the Lord, willfully or through neglect, why not call to remembrance His commandments and obey Him again?

If you need salvation, why not obey the gospel of Jesus Christ?  Be saved by Accepting the Salvation that God offers:  Hear - Believe - Repent - Confess - Be Baptized
