Washing handsIn Matthew 15:1-2, the scribes and Pharisees came to Jesus to ask Him a question.  Why, they asked, did his disciples transgress the tradition of the elders, by not washing their hands when they ate bread (which was a tradition of elders - handed down by oral interpretations of the law, which were not inspired or binding).

Jesus responded with his own question.  Why do you transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? In other words, why are you disobeying Godís Word by holding on to your uninspired interpretations of the law? Matthew 15:3-6

Jesus called these religious leaders of the Jews, hypocrites. They gave Jesus a lot of lip service, but their heart was not close to submitting their lives to God. Their worship to God was worthless because they were teaching and practicing doctrines of men - Matthew 15:7-9

Rooting up weedsDID YOU KNOW, EVERY PLANT, THAT WAS NOT PLANTED BY GOD WILL BE ROOTED UP?

How many of you have gardens at home? As a diligent gardener, what do you do when something starts growing in your garden that you did not plant, such as weeds?

There are a lot of plants (unfaithful church members, false teacherís, denominations, etc) in this world that God has not planted.  At the proper time, God will root them up - Matthew 15:13-14

It is so important that we abide in the true vine. If we do not, God will cut us off to be gathered and be burned in the fire - John 15:1-6

Make sure you are one Godís plants. Give up pride, arrogance, and selfishness.  Instead, live by believing and obeying Jesus Christ. Jesus is calling you now, why not answer the call today?

Accept the Salvation that God offers:  Hear - Believe - Repent - Confess - Be Baptized.
