Jesus conversed with a woman at Jacob’s well about living water and eternal lifeIntroduction

In John chapter 4, we learn the disciples of Jesus had gone into the city of Samaria to find something to eat, while Jesus conversed with a woman at Jacob’s well about living water and eternal lifeJohn 4:13-14

When they returned with food, they encouraged the Lord to eat, and Jesus made a reply to them in – John 4:32, 34,

“…I have meat to eat that ye know not of.” “...My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”

Did You Think to Eat Something for Your Nourishment Today?

There is not a person of any age group that does not think about food. The Lord created us with the need to eat in order to physically surviveMatthew 12:1

Yet the Bible indicates that, as important as our physical health is, our spiritual health is much more important. In John 6:26-27, we learn in Jesus day, people followed him because he feed the multitude, but He told them not to labor for the meat that perishes, but labor for the meat that endures unto everlasting lifeMatthew 4:4

In Matthew 5:6, Jesus proclaims blessings for those who hunger and thirst after righteousness. Far too many Christians are living and suffering from spiritual malnutrition because they have filled their lives with so many insignificant matters that they have no time to feed the only part of them that will live beyond this life

The Bible Encourages You to Feed Your Face with The Word of God

There are blessings, wisdom, and strength that comes from those that will delight to read and meditate in the law of the Lord day and nightPsalm 1:1-2. In Acts 17:11, Luke says the church at Berea, “…received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

Let us be encouraged to study to receive the spiritual nutrition that we need to live for Jesus Christ dailyII Timothy 2:15

Conclusion

If my spiritual health is more important than my physical health, and I feed my physical body daily, then how much should I be feeding my soul?

If you’re a sinner, your spiritual body is in need of a love feast provided by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Why not come to the feast and be healed today?
